StuCo’s Wish Week

This year StuCo is naming our fundraising week AWOL, meaning A Week of Love.  The student council has decided to show our love to Dacey Beauchamp, to help her family with recent medical expenses.  In case you are unfamiliar, on August 27, 2017, our Okarche senior Dacey Beauchamp was involved in a collision with a semi.  She was ejected from the vehicle and suffered many injuries.  Those injuries caused her to stay in the ICU for almost a week, followed by a week in the trauma center, and a month in a rehabilitation center.

During the week of January 21st, we will be holding several fundraising events in the hope of meeting our $15,000 goal.  The following link may be clicked for a list of the week’s events:

The elementary will also being doing their own fundraising for Dacey.  Each of their classrooms will have a donation jar.  The class collecting the most money in their jar will receive a reward party.

Elementary dress up days are: Wednesday – Western Day, Thursday – Hat Day (must pay $1 to wear a hat), Friday – Spirit Day, please wear your AWOL shirt or an Okarche shirt.

Camp Goddard Fundraising Dinner

Come join the 5th/6th grade classes on Sunday, January 28th for a chili and creamed ham dinner from 11:00-1:00 at the Elementary School Gym.  Dinner is free will donation.  This fundraiser will support the classes in attending Camp Goddard in May, so come eat a bowl & support the kids.
Start making plans for your fair projects now!  Entries are due Friday, February 9th.  Fair Day is Saturday, February 10th.

Preventing Illness
The flu season is in full force!!  Please help us out by not sending your child to school who have any symptoms or who have:
Fever: must be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school
Inflammation of the eyes or lids
Head lice
Gastrointestinal Symptoms: including vomiting and/or diarrhea, must be symptom free for 24 hours before returning to school
